It’s great to see Pharrell and producing buddy Chad Hugo devote some serious time to their nominal side project, the pretty awesome, genre-flirting N.E.R.D. When they opened the "Glow in the Dark" tour, we were too mesmerized by the thoughts of Kanye’s spaceship to really relax and enjoy. But on this upcoming tour, a team-up with Common—the two cheeky acts have dubbed it "Seeing the Invincible Sounds of Summer," a mash-up of their recent and upcoming albums—the band should finally have a larger share of the attention pie. Stick around for Common, who takes a timeout from killing people on camera to get back to the whole emceeing thing. — Amos Barshad
